A Pause
I’ve been publishing a newsletter post once a week for 30 weeks in a row now.
I wouldn’t recommend this experience for most people. It’s stressful. But as someone who has often been far too reluctant to share my ideas and experiences, the process has been invaluable. Given the milestone and the fact that (as usual) my life is far too busy for my own comfort, it feels like an appropriate time for a pause.
Rather than sharing about what I’m working on and thinking about, I’d like to point readers towards the work of some of my good friends and fellow system explorers.
Michael published a piece about organization, the first in a 3-part series aimed at “understanding the critical role of citizenship in a free and flourishing civilization.”
Jane published the latest episode in her Wonderland series. In this episode she seeks to find nuance and a “truly generative discourse” around the highly divisive topics of sex, gender, and identity.
Lynn just launched a newsletter for The Maui Institute, a network of networks that will explore how systems science and indigenous science can help us develop a better relationship with our planet.
I feel grateful to have such thoughtful, kind, and intelligent friends in my life. Please take some time to explore their work!
