They can also be between organisations of all scales from clubs, through businesses, to nations. As well as the transmission of information, the relationships can also involve the transfer/trade of material things such as raw materials, goods, services, money and so on. A water supply company is an example. Taking an even broader perspective, they can also include hostile and authoritarian interactions.
