What would be the Purpose of a well designed, clear goaled, "science of systems"? What is -your- purpose in getting a 'science of systems' explicitly established. What do you plan on doing with the science exploration process having "systems" as their target to explain and document? What other activities or goals/uses can a person have with Systems Literacy part of their knowledge repertoire?
Good questions. I did touch on many of them when I started this newsletter in 2023, but my thinking has been updated since then. So you can get some insight into my goals from this old piece, but I'm due to publish something new and I have a few good drafts in the works.
This is interesting! I like how they ultized physical design of their space to encourage collaboration too.
One thing I’d be curious about is a specific example or story about how basic research became applied research — how did innovation play out at bell labs?

I think the story of how the transistor was created is a great example!
